Thanksgiving reminds us here at the Allison of how fortunate we are to have good friends who support our mission to provide fire protection and community risk reduction to our community; just as our founders have done since 1905.

Today the Allison hosted a group of old school firemen and state instructors for there luncheon and get together. They enjoyed a good lunch prepared by our Allison chef Milo and told lots of stories. This is the second time we have hosted this group and look forward to more in the future.
On Sunday September 17, the Allison opened its doors to the Harrisburg City retired firefighter for there monthly meeting and annual picnic. The guys loved seeing what has become of the station they worked in up to 1980. Unfortunately no photos were taken.

The Allison Hill fire academy was held this weekend with a social at the firehouse Friday evening followed by a day of hot classes Saturday at HACC. Even with the rain all day everyone enjoyed the classes and went home better prepared.
This would have been awesome to attend!
Saturday September 16 the Allison set up at the Latino festival to teach fire safety. Again this year we had an ice cream truck on hand to give out free cones to any children that learned fire safety from our men.
