PA Fire Commissioner Cook Swears in New Officers
Allison Hook & Ladder Co. No. 2 held the annual election and installation of officers on December 7th at the fire house in Harrisburg.
Members and guests enjoyed dinner followed by the December company meeting.
Chief Enterline thanked the membership for the assistance the company is providing to the Bureau of Fire and the citizens of Harrisburg. He also expressed his appreciation of the leadership provided by the Allison delegates at the Harrisburg Firemen’s Relief.
New business included a positive report on President Barry Buskey’s recovery from recent surgery. Captain Don Moorhead announced live fire training is scheduled for Allison firefighters at the West Chester Training Center during the coming year. Newly designed T-shirts are on sale for members and visitors. The evening closed with the installation ceremony. Installing Officer, Commissioner Thomas Cook, accompanied by his wife Tina, made some brief remarks about his goals to assist the fire service in the Commonwealth. He noted that installing the Allison was the first installation request he received since being appointed.
