ALLISON PRESIDENT CHOSEN FOR NATIONAL FIRE SERVICE POST
Timothy C. “Cosgrove” Jones, President of the Allison Hook & Ladder Co. No. 2 of Harrisburg PA was named Senior Vice President of the Society for the Preservation & Appreciation of Antique Motor Fire Apparatus in America (SPAAMFAA). The Society is the largest and only national organization for the preservation of antique apparatus. President Jones had served as the district 2 Trustee.
An avid supporter of the hobby, “Cos” is the proud owner of a 1937 Seagrave engine from Carlise PA. He retired as a Lt from the DC Fire Department and is a Life Member and Past President of Rockville MD VFD. Tim leads the effort at the iconic Allison Hook & Ladder Co. where he rode along beginning in the 1970’s. Since retiring from DC, he has operated a trucking firm dedicated to safely shipping fire apparatus and other specialized freight. His vision includes growing SPAAMFAA by recruiting younger members.
